Rent a Car in Goa

Situated on the west coast of India, Goa is bordered by the state of Maharashtra in the north and Karnataka to its east and south. The place is renowned for its mesmerizing beaches, historical monuments and a plethora of other popular tourist attractions, which has made it a most sought after destination for both local and foreign visitors.

Although there are plenty of transport options like local buses, taxis, auto-rickshaws etc to move around in Goa, the best and most comfortable of them all is to hire a taxi. Renting a private car not only gives you the advantage of hassle free travel but also lets you discover the abundant bounties of this amazing place at your own pace.

Cars can be hired from various agents across Goa at a nominal rent. All types of cars ranging from the luxury air-conditioned vehicles to the small cars are easily available. Vehicles can be rented for a number of days or for a small duration (airport and train station transfers etc) as per your convenience.

Although unauthorized car hiring is illegal in Goa, it is better to check the credentials of the agent you are dealing with to get the best possible deal. The vehicles are fully insured and are well maintained to offer the best possible experience for the tourists. The chauffeurs are well mannered and trained to double up as guides.

While hiring a car with a driver is one option, another alternative is to rent a car and drive it yourself. Indian tourists opting to rent a self driven car must carry a driving license with a minimum of 2 years validity while foreign nationals who choose to go for such an option must possess an international driverís license.
