Panaji Goa

Panaji Goa – Revel in the Charm

Situated on the banks of river Mandovi, Panaji or Panjim is the capital of Goa. The city is planned in a grid pattern with the fascinating Church Square as its centre. The city boasts of plenty of tourist attractions including Latin style houses that border its streets.

For hundreds of years, Panaji acted as a mere landing stage with a hilltop fort standing guard at the entrance. The city modernized rapidly during the 60s but still lacks the grandeur and bustle of some of the other major Indian state capitals. Its streets lined with trees and a charming backdrop, however, make it an ideal location for a gentle stroll.
