An impeccable example of Hindu architecture, the Manugesh temple is situated just 20 km from Panaji. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Shivalingam inside the sanctum sanctorum is flanked by guards. The most recommended time to visit the temple is during the month of January when the entire structure is illuminated with lamps.

Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the temple has lots of historical significance attached to it. The temple was first built during the 18th century and has witnessed several renovation projects since then. The temple is renowned for its beautiful architecture and a huge tank situated inside the main hall.

Sri Chandreshwar Temple:
Believed to have been first built during the pre-Christian era, the Chandreshwar temple is one of the oldest temples in Goa.
